「『このままではローンを払えません。他行の金利の方が低いので、借り換えも考えています』と伝えたところ、担当者に『わかりました。銀行に来てください』と言われた。銀行に行くと相談室のようなところに通され、担当者が『本当は例外なんですが、金利を引き下げましょう』と、金利を約1%も引き下げてくれたんです。結果、月々の支払いは1万円近く安くなり、総額で約300万円の負担減になりました」

　Nさんはいわば、電話一本で住宅ローン支払いの引き下げに成功したのである。いったいなぜこんなことが可能なのか。

「これは『金利交渉』や『金利低減』と言われるもので、従来なら考えられなかった、”契約時に結んだ金利の見直し”を願い出る手法です」

　こう語るのは、ファイナンシャルプランナーの藤川太氏だ。

「金融機関は積極的にPRしていませんが、住宅ローンを組んだ際の金利が現在の店頭金利や優遇金利よりも高い場合、銀行と交渉すればその金利を下げてもらえる可能性があるのです」(藤川氏)

    俺の時は勝手に金利が安くなってた事があった。 結局その後更に安い金利の所に借り換えしてしまったが。 しかし借り換えした所が経営破綻して、 以前の所に吸収合併されて、 また自動的に元の銀行に戻ってしまった（笑）
